The History Committee is part of the Friends of the El Segundo Public Library and accepts donations of historical materials. The Committee coordinates acquisition and archival preservation of photographs, clippings, maps and other memorabilia related to El Segundo.  These items are maintained in the Library's Abbie Jean Mesak Krimmel Memorial Heritage Room, or "History Room," for public access and research. All items in the History Room are property of the El Segundo Public Library, with the History Committee as their caretakers.
